Do I have to pay anything to use Agent Starbase?

No for the core stack. The codebase is prepared for Apache 2.0 publication and the free tier covers the sandbox, Codex baseline, optional local agent installs, and the core workflow plugins. Pro, Team, and Business gates apply to selected hosting and cost-control features.

How does "per seat" work on Team?

A seat is any human who logs in. Agents don't count, cron jobs don't count, service accounts don't count. 3-seat minimum.

Do you charge per agent job or per minute?

No. Run as many jobs as your infrastructure can handle. Model costs (Anthropic, OpenAI, etc.) are billed by your provider directly — we stay out of that path.

What about Business / Enterprise (SSO, RBAC, on-prem licensing)?

In active development. Get in touch if you'd like early access or want to influence the roadmap.

What about academic / nonprofit / OSS projects?

Core self-hosting is free. For Pro/Team credits on qualifying OSS or research projects, drop us a note.
